I had wanted to be a real estate agent my entire life, but I was scared. My income would depend entirely on sales, and that terrified me. One day, while working in a job that had become unbearable, I finally said to myself, "I'm going to do it. If I fail, I fail. I will never have to wonder what if."
The third client I helped become a homeowner was a single mother raising two boys. After we found the right home and negotiated the purchase, I took the paperwork to the hotel where her mother was staying so she could sign the acceptance. When the door opened, I was met with hugs and tears of joy from the grandmother, the mother, and the two little boys. Their lives were about to change forever. That was the moment I knew I had found my calling.
More than 28 years later, that feeling has never changed. Every time I call a client to tell them they got the home, I still feel that same joy. I am deeply grateful for the privilege of serving my clients. Helping people achieve homeownership isn't just what I do. It's who I am.
